Emerging Entrepreneurs

About this session

FATE Foundation was established in the year 2000 by the esteemed banker and philanthropist Akintunde Oyebode with a singular, disruptive mission: to combat soaring youth unemployment by treating entrepreneurship as a formal, rigorous discipline.

Operating as a premier non-profit entrepreneurship support organization, FATE rejected passive aid in favor of sustainable capacity building. The foundation developed a highly structured incubator model, offering world-class business education through initiatives like the Aspiring Entrepreneurs Programme.

Beyond classrooms, FATE connects budding founders with veteran corporate mentors, facilitates links to seed funding, and operates a specialized research wing that produces definitive, data-driven reports on the state of Nigerian MSMEs.

Across more than two decades of operation, FATE Foundation has successfully graduated over 7,500 entrepreneurs and extended its ecosystem support to over 150,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises. It is universally regarded as Nigeria's most impactful authority on enterprise growth and MSME policy advocacy.
